Since ya'll love that cut crease...
I just laugh at myself when I say, "I'll keep posting more." Who am I kidding? Even though I feel like I'm almost unemployed (not a lot of hours at work) I still feel like my days are jampacked with "to-dos", recording & editing. I'm basically a full-time Beauty Influencer/Vlogger. It's been a rough year rolling through from last year being financially unstable. And I absolutely love doing makeup and working with people but sometimes retail can be a bit draining. Some days I daydream of working full-time and being able to survive, most days.. I wish to really become successful in this industry. Oh what the future holds.
Since my last post, I think I've posted about 1,2,3 maybe 6 videos? Haha. Go check them out! It's hard to keep up with blogging on here let alone, keeping up with all the social media platforms.
I recently recorded/reviewed a Road Test for Ruby 71 on Crystalized Lips! Stay tuned!!!
I can't believe how time is flying by. I know I mentioned I'd be more active on here from December, but I've been so busy making videos for ya'll! So if you haven't done so, subscribe to my YouTube channel (link is up above)! I also attended my first IMATS and Gen Beauty this year and I had such an amazing time. I left both events feeling so inspired and motivated. I also decided to chop my damaged blonde hair off because Sean kept telling me how flat the back of my head looks LOL. I started somewhat working out, thanks to one of my bff's Rochelle who is now a Personal Trainer. I can't wait to share with you all our little video! I also hosted my very first makeup and skincare class with Erin Ortiz, a dear friend of mine. We had such a great outcome and I can't wait to share that video with you too! See how crazy it's been? It's been a whirlwind and my videos are starting to pile up waiting to be edited. I promise I will "try" to update this more often.. haha. xo
Well, it's been almost 3 months now since I've moved back from Ithaca, NY. Life's been great and I can't complain. If anything, I'm just trying to get myself settled down.
Christmas is just around the corner and I haven't had this Christmas spirit since I was a child. I'm sure its because I was away from my family for some time and I just can't wait to have that merry jolly time with them. Also, because I get to spend my first Christmas with the love of my life. I can't tell you enough how amazing my boyfriend Sean is. He got me a ridiculously huge walk-in closet! If you follow me on Instagram.. I'm sure you've seen it. He's been super supportive of all my projects and my many many jobs. <3
Other than all that.. I've also been working a lot and doing a lot of collaborating with other photographers, hairstylist, etc. I just love being around other artists and of course, that positive vibe. I've also been catching up with a lot of old friends.. and LET ME TELL YOU! John Valdez.. who took these amazing photos above was the first photographer I've worked with. This was about.. 11 years ago? Never forget our Aqualung - Brighter Than Sunshine background music. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THESE WONDERFUL PHOTOS! Follow him on the Gram @jvphoto.
Till next time.. I have so much to post and update ya'll about! Have a very safe and warm Holiday's everyone and I look forward to sharing more of my interesting life with you! xo
As all women in this planet, I too am obsessed with shoes. It doesn't help when your boyfriend is an enabler and just as obsessed as you are. I'm all about comfort and as much as I love wearing heels and lookin' all cute, let's be real ladies.. it hurts. I used to wear heels in my old days as a MAC Artist. But having back problems, I had to give it up. You'll maybe catch me wear heels once in a blue moon (dinner dates where standing is not required). I absolutely love the Flyknit Racers. They are comfortable, stylish & fits perfect! I can't wait to get my hands on the Multi-Colored Racers when I get back home! Thanks to the boyfriend!
I usually start my days off by making coffee & breakfast, checking emails, talking to the boyfriend, browsing the web & social media, then off to the dog park. The dog park is the place to meet people. I met an older fella who was telling me his crazy life story. I seriously felt like I was sitting next to Forrest Gump. This man & his dog Buddy are quite the characters. We usually arrive at the dog park at the same time and I start to lose track of time just talking about life.
Saturday's & Sunday's are definitely a Farmer's Market day because Ithaca has THEEEEE BESTTTT Farmer's Market. Purchase your food and eat it right on the dock while you bask in the summer sun while Mother Nature & people watching.
Other than the beautiful, breathtaking scenery of Ithaca.. it gets super lonely. It's hard moving to a new location where you know no one. And another when you don't expect things to go south. I've worked so hard to make this move for myself & to be closer to someone who meant so much to me, my best friend who I've now grown apart from.
I don't usually like to share my personal business in public, but I feel that many of you can relate to a situation like mine. We get old, we grow, we learn, we love, we fall & sometimes we just grow apart. Its unfortunate, but I can't tell you how much it hurts. Its literally like going through your very first breakup as a teenager. And sometimes some people aren't really meant to be in your life forever & I hate to say this, but its almost as if they served their purpose in your life.. and it's time to move on.
It's a struggle moving to an unfamiliar place & trying to make new friends. Young or old... it's difficult trying to relate to someone you have no relation to. I'm much older now & I feel I have the perfect close friends I can ever ask for. And I'm happy to say, I'm moving back to California. I want to be around people who actually appreciates me and are eager to have sushi dates or movie nights. Friendships ARE relationships. It feels good to feel wanted. It feels good to feel appreciated & not to feel any trace of neglect. And most of all it feels good to be connected to the people you love & love you back unconditionally.
A good friend of mine once said to me, "You have different kinds of friends. You have your party friends, your one-on-one dinner friends, your traveling friends, your concert friends, etc. And it's your choice which friend you want to be around at that moment." Thank goodness, my girlfriends are all of the above.
There's always a lesson learned in every aspect of life. This was a very expensive lesson moving across & back again. But it was well worth it. I guess I'm like a sponge, I like to absorb and learn haha. It's a hassle trying to find movers & dealing with a Mother who refuses to allow you to drive across the country by yourself, AGAIN. And as much as I would love to do another cross country trip, I'm actually okay with flying back because I'm super anxious to be around my support system.
I'm also going to be missing the beautiful part about the East Coast, FALL! Supppper sadface. The boyfriend did promise to make Ithaca one of our vacation spots & come back during Fall. Of course, that's after he takes me to Hearst Castle first as he promised. Our first date was spent in the car driving along the coast and on day 2 we arrived at Hearst Castle... CLOSED! Can't wait to do it all over again. :)
See you soon CALIFORNIA! (less than 3)

This has been my recent 'ballin' on a budget' diet. It's super easy to make and gets you filled up if you make just enough. Nom nom nom...
I heart eyes Allen Stone and that glorious voice! Can't wait to see him live again.
My friend Kara who works for VidaKush reached out to me asking if I'd be interested in modeling their jewelry. And I always like to do fun things for my friends. I'm no model and I'm also not the greatest when it comes to being in front of the camera, but the images turned out pretty awesome! I absolutely love their jewelry and the chokers are suppppeerrr kyÜt!
Finally!!! It's been such a rough week trying to get this out. I spent all day trying to figure out how to compress my videos and loading them on YouTube. It was definitely a process. Thank you again for all of you who has inspired, motivated & supported me along the way.
I think the video speaks for itself. I hope you guys like it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Jennifer spent the summer here in Ithaca to vacay and work. I'm sad I just met her last week and she left today. One night we went to the bar to listen to some jazz and I found out she's originally from New Orleans (I love NOLA). I told her I can make beignets at home and we literally left the bar to make beignets. As you can see, she looks like Anne Hathaway. I couldn't let her go back to Houston without doing her makeup and capturing her beauty. Thanks to our friend Nick he was able to take the photos for me.. he definitely did a better job than I could've done. I adore Jenn and I hope to reconnect with her in the future.
This song makes me warm and tingly inside. It's very soothing and relaxing. I've also tried looking up this band to see if they have an album in hopes that I can purchase it (I actually messaged them on Facebook) but thankful to have stumble upon this song on Soundcloud.
My bestie Krisheila sent this to me a couple weeks ago. I'm so happy to say I was the one who popped her Coachella cherry a few years ago. And ever since she became my music festival bb. So sad that this year will be the first of no festivals together. And also sad to see Coachella become so mainstream and overcrowded.
Outside Lands will always be my favorite festival because I love the cold, the green forrest, the food, the culture, and SAN FRANCISCO!!! Sad I won't be making it this year. But I will see you all at FYF in a couple of weeks! I'm going going back to back to CALI CALI! :)
One day I sat down and actually counted how many times I've moved in my life. I was born in the Philippines, moved to California in the early 90's, moved back to the Philippines and back to California again in 1994. I've lived from San Diego, all over Orange County, LA, San Francisco (which was short lived) and now Upstate New York in Ithaca.
I move so much that I practically learned how to live out of a trash bag full of clothes. With that being said, I learned that a lot of things in life is temporary and that life is not permanent. And for that I try to live my life with no limitations and to keep pushing myself to do something new.
I received my degree this past Spring and decided to move to Ithaca sometime last year. Many have asked, "why Ithaca?" One, my best friend has lived here for 3 years and we wanted to create together. Two, I wanted to experience seasons and something new. Three, why not? I was used to living that city life and constantly being on the go. I needed to discipline myself and be able to have that time to focus on my goals. I unfortunately didn't have the will power to say 'no' to my friends when it comes to fun. And being here has really helped me learn about myself and accomplish my goals.
Moving is not easy. Being away from my family, boyfriend, and friends is the hardest thing. And the food choices... let's just say, I MISS IN-N-OUT & GOOD FOOD! I've been struggling with my social life in Ithaca because at my age I feel I've already built my core friends. It's also hard to relate to people here, which causes me to be completely anti-social (I apologize for my Snapchats.. I know its mostly my dogs).
Other than being lonely, Ithaca is GORGES! If I could have my family, boyfriend and friends in Ithaca... I would be super deeeeedupperrrr happy. I am however thankful for Matthew (my gay boyfriend). Last but not least.. my two children, Belle & Denali. <3
This is one hidden gem. Untouched and the water is crystal clear. By far, my most favorite gorge in Ithaca also because it starts off at the cemetery. And for those of you who don't know... I'm obsessed with old cemeteries. Enjoi!
I moved across the country to do some soul searching and to create. I chose Ithaca not only to be closer to one of my best friends, but to also experience something much different than what I'm used to (California). It's quiet, relaxing and breathtaking. I've been here since April and I've seen the seasons change drastically. Driving through Pennsylvania & New York, seeing nothing but endless brown scenery was a bit boring. But a week after nestling down in my new home, the scenery changed dramatically. With a blink of an eye, everything was green. It's literally like entering Toon Town. Imagine that.
I drove across the country making stops in cities I've never been to. That alone is another memorable experience that I'll hold close to my heart. And I encourage everyone to do this at least once in their life.
These pictures of my little babies and I are captured by my bestie Krissy (www.loveyouduh.com) on our beautiful Lake House in Ithaca. And everyday I wake up to the beautiful sunrise on the east. <3
I hired my boyfriend to be my photographer while he was in town from CA. This is our end result. It was hard not to be such a goof ball. And he did a great job.
Thank you Tobi for this sexy Greatest Escape two piece set. I was able to dress it down with my new favorite Crisscross-Strap Sandals from Forever 21 and these oversized nude glasses from zeroUV.
